World Thinking Day 2026

On 22nd February 2026, North Downs Division gathered 203 young women (from Rainbows to Rangers, including 5 young leaders) and 41 adult volunteers to celebrate 100 years of World Thinking Day.
The girls experienced bridge building (with Rochester Bridge Trust) food tasting, using amateur radio equipment to contact other Scouts and Guides across the world (with thanks to Kent Scouts) and games and crafts from around the world. We finished with a sing along with some slightly loosely international themed songs and a renewal of our promises.
Huge thanks to Rebecca Barford Evans (Bearsted District Commissioner) and the team of volunteers for bringing this all together. Everyone had an excellent time!
